So I did it again, yup, decided to go on a date with someone who was outside of my guidelines. In this instance was a bit older than I'd been looking for AND had a six-year-old at home.
First he changed our date location (it was supposed to be a half-hour coffee thing) to a bar in a restaurant; so I had to meet him, after I met him, after another 10 minute drive. Sounds like a ploy to me, somehow suspicious.
Then he complimented my face, how pretty. Why thank you. "You look just like your picture!" I don't know why you're surprised, it's a picture of me.
We were talking, he asked me a question and I shifted in my chair to face him while I answered. He didn't skip a beat, "I like that too." In reference to my chest and remaining upper body.
*shudder*
I had errands to run, since this was supposed to be a short coffee-thing I didn't run them before-hand; I tried to excuse myself
politely, he said "Can I go on your errands with you?"
Um, no...I have to pay my rent and buy cat litter...that's not a date.
It almost felt like he was trying to arrange to get me alone in a car, weird, he kept pressing it.
After another 15 minutes we left the restaurant, I agreed to meet him for a second date...using my three-dates rule, after all.
However, in the coming days he would write me more and more familiar emails -- nothing bad or dirty, but too familiar for someone I just met.
I had to tell him, I just couldn't go out with him again, because of this familiarity.
I really have to re-think that three date rule.
